Overview

This role is responsible for assembling pre-hung door units and for for the production of high quality door units to the exact specifications of our customers.

Responsibilities

Essential Funntions:
  • Fabricate doors in accordance to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Operate appropriate equipment to machine and manufacture doors according to customer specifications.
  • Ability to operate and set up a Northfield door machine.
  • Must be able to safely operate pneumatic nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, table saws, hand tools and other various specialty machinery.
  • Ability to determine and pull proper materials needed for each task.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, identifying and correcting potential safety concerns and hazards.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, paying attention to details
  • Work on a production line within a team concept
  • Machine and assemble single and twin interior door unit
  • Ability to produce final product with in the project deadlines.
  • Maintain machines and tools on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a clean/safe work area at all times
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical mathematics and measuring skills
  • Ability to follow sequence of steps in order to complete the task at hand
  • Must follow company policies, safety instructions and wear required protective equipment.
  • Able to function effectively as part of a production team.
  • Dependable, works well with others, self-motivated.
  • Responsible, dependable with a strong work ethics.


Required Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year Machinery/Mill Shop operation or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
  • Experience with hand and power tool.
  • Experience with reading architectural shop drawings
  • High Mathematical aptitude


Preferred Experience:
  • Previous Carpentry/Woodworking/Constructions experience
  • Prior Assembly experience
  • Manufacturing - Mill Shop 3 years
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to airborne particles, dust, debris, moving forklifts, noise and vibration
  • Physical demands include lifting, carrying, standing, kneeling, walking, ability to lift up to 100 pounds at a time repetitively and unassisted, repetitive motion associated with operating manufacturing equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, Non-Exempt Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
