HEI is searching for a highly creative and analytical individual to join our in-house instructional design team. This individual will work with content experts throughout the organization, including executive leadership at the corporate office, to develop comprehensive training materials for all departments and job roles within HEI. In addition to training creation, this position will also assist in the development of new programs and policies aimed at increasing the effectiveness of core areas within the organization.

The Training Development Analyst's core responsibilities will revolve around the creation of exclusive instructional presentations and videos for HEI's unique tools, systems, and strategies. The topics featured in these materials will stretch to all aspects of hotel management, granting the individual knowledge on a variety of different subjects. Once learning resources are created and deployed, the position will then entitle monitoring their effectiveness by overseeing completion on our learning management system.


  • The HEI training program involves the following responsibilities:
    • Writing scripts, operational policies, and call/webinar presentations
    • Creating animated videos and presentations using Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe creative suite
    • Recording and editing audio using Audacity
    • Constructing quizzes designed to test comprehension for trainings and webinars
    • Creating various training materials, such as posters, strategy guides, artwork, and games, to enhance the HEI learning program and provide associates with multiple methods for learning information
    • Assigning new training and monitoring their completion on the LMS system Cornerstone on Demand
    • Managing the existing personalized training curricula for different job roles on Cornerstone
    • Analyzing learning effectiveness to identify areas for improvement, and strategizing new ways to develop and implement learning throughout the organization


  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience writing and proof-reading for business or academics
  • Works well in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Has the ability to multi task and manage time efficiently while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional and comfortable with communicating with associates from all levels of the organization
  • Independent self-starter who will take initiative to bring projects to completion

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Basic to moderate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator)
    • Basic to moderate knowledge of videography
    • Prior experience working with a Learning Management System like Cornerstone on Demand
    • Fluent (can speak and write) in another language, especially Spanish
